Hello.
Does anyone know how to output different sounds within battery (running thru
logic) so that individual sounds can be compressed/EQ'd etc? I know how to
actually put the sounds on to different outputs but then waht do u do?
cheers.

That's what I just discovered: Unfortunately, Logic doesn't have
an implementation for multi timbral VSTi's, which means you
can't direct different sounds toward different Logic's mixer tracks
:-(
multi-timbral VSTi support is one reason for which I would like to
ask Emagic to have a 4.8 free release. I hate to have to wait 'til
January for that, when Cubase does it so well NOW....Battery and
Dr008 are now the softwares everyone's talking about, and all
demos are done in Cubase because Logic doesn't support the
multi outputs :-(
You can still use those softs with Logic of course, but it gets a bit
complicated, that's it.

Correct. I think that feature was announce for v5.0?

If it's announced for 5.0, then I don't think it'll be in a free 4.8
release.

It's funny that no-one mentions though that Logic can have 24 VSTi's
while other programs can't run that amount. Multiple outputs are indeed
needed, I agree.

And loading several instances means you consume more CPU. :-(
