Hi, sorry for the very OT but I don't manage to know elsewhere.
I want to buy a mic Studioproject C1 from studiocat.com ($230) but I
am from France and it is shown that I have to pay extra $8 for an the
FedEx shipment (the UPS ground shipment is cheaper but if I am right,
It is not possible to France :o) ) .
My question is: Will I have to pay more bucks or is is all I have
to pay?
I am afraid there will be some taxes, if yes how much?
In France the C1 is sold $490 so it has to be a good bargain but I
have to know exactly hom much it is gonna cost me.
Thanl you for any "logical" information... ;o)

1) Your country's import department (here it's called "Customs
Canada") will have all that information.
2) You should support your own country's economy whenever
possible.
3) You'll probably pay higher shipping, duties, tax, and the
warranty will sometimes be invalid in France if you buy foreign.

While there might be some instant gratification that you save
a little money buying foreign for a cheaper price, there are
much more long term benefits of keeping your own country's
(and perhaps your own community's) economy healthy - Definitely
not something that's immediately tangible, however.
