Hm, I haven't had too much problems with drumsounds. Something like almost
"morphing", or better "blending" them into each other is
easily possible
using the fade function.
For example, I sometimes take a Bassdrum where I like the attack and another
one where I like the decay/room part and kinda x-fade them.
Very interesting instruments are possible with that, think of a deep rock
snare with a little room/reverb of a clap (Ok, you can do that with a
sampler easily too, but a) I don't have one yet, just a soundcard, b) it's
more work).
