Hi All,
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me. I'm
running Logic Audio Platinum 4.7.2 on a Powermac G3 333MHz
Beige machine with MAC OS 9.1, 288MB RAM, a 20 GB ATA/66
internal HD, MOTU 1224/PCI-324, and a Unitor 8. Whenever I'm
playing back MIDI and Audio at the same time, and I go to menus
and environment screens, my MIDI and audio go out of sync.
Specifically my MIDI speeds up. I tested it just with the
metronome and a pice of ausio playing and the metronome
progressively got faster an faster. It usually happens when I'm
selcting something in a menu. The longer I'm in a menu, the
more the MIDI speeds up. I've never seen anything like this. I
called Emagic, but there stumped on this, and have never heard
of this problem before. When I hit stop on the transport and start
again, then it is corrected until I leave the main arrange window
to do something while playing back the song, then the MIDI goes
back to progressivly speeding up. I've turned off the Unified MIDI
and Classic Engine, per Emagic's instructions, but it doesn't
seem to make a difference. Has anyone run into this? Emagic
and I are both stumped on this issue.
Also, I've noticed lately that whenever I start a song on bar one, it
skips the first note. This happens with both MIDI and Audio. It
seems to only be isolated issue when I use Logic with an ASIO
card. Whenever I use Logic with a TDM system or any
Digidesign hardware, the problem goes away. This first note
skip occurs when I'm looping a phrase as well.
Any ideas??? Logic has been really unusable for me, since
these issues have crept up, and I have been a long time user of
Logic, and would not want to switch platforms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
PP
