Two weeks ago I had a power outage when I wasn't home. When I returned I found that when the power came back my powered hub had started the mac and the date had set itself to 1904(as if I had pushed the reset button on the motherboard). So I reset date & time and everything seemed to be fine-until I tried to use my SAC controller. The sac now doesn't respond properly to fader positions and writes erratic data. Locates, transport and window controls all work fine. Radikal supplied me with a new controller-which exibits the same behavior. It also works fine on other systems. I tried everything I can think of-finally going as far as to reformat, repartition, re-install system and software- all to no avail. I tried removing PCI cards-3rd party inits etc. Pro-tools,Logic and DP seem to operate normally except when I try the RAD. A friend suggested that I try re-doing the firmware version 4.18 but when I try the Apple firmware upgrader it tells me version 4.18r2 is already installed. Is there a way to force the firmware to re-upgrade and/or can there be another possibility for a solution to this communication problem that I have not thought of or tried? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Tom Swift Swift Kick Productions

Have you done the option comd p r key combo (all at once hear the chimes twice) on mac bootup to reset the PRAM? --- In logic-users@y..., Tom Swift <tomswift@o...> wrote: > Two weeks ago I had a power outage when I wasn't home.
