OK, I've got a weird one. Sometimes, I will go to the track mixer and one
or more of the first audio tracks will be gone from view. They are still
there in the arrange window, they are still there in the audio layer of the
environment, and they still function properly. However, I can't access
them in the track mixer. Doesn't matter which version of Logic, as this
happened in 4.5 and 4.6, and now in 4.7. I must be doing something wrong.
Anybody seen this problem or have a suggestion?
Also, the bug that existed in 4.6 (Platinum) where the bus send levels are
not visible in the track mixer is still present in 4.7. Workaround, as
with my other problem, is to use the audio layer of the environment, where
the levels do appear.

Hi,
I had this problem and got rid of it by creating a new song document and
moving all parts to that one. Probably the original song doc was corrupted
in some way. Other people on the list have also reported this error.
All the best

I noticed that the one or two first tracks are sometimes out of view,
whatever horizontal cursor manipulation you make. Tracks names or numbers
sometimes desappear switching the view options off and on making no
difference.

Puh, and I always thought I am the only one to have this problem.
It´s making me weird sometimes - As Screenset 1 I have the
Arrange-Windowa=
nd a very little
part of the mixer-window. I synched them, so I can always see the selected
=
track in this little
mixer window.
And yes -MOST of the time I cannot get the view of the first track,
sometim=
es even not of the
second. I then always have to move them to 3rd place ors so...This is
reall=
y annoying, since I
have to "rearrange" this very often. :(
I would appreciate so much if there would be a solution.

Can I ask what sound-interface you are using? Maybe that can make
things clearer. Maybe it happens only with a certain soundcard? I
don't know what the cause can be of these mixer tracks just
disappearing, just asking. Never seen it happen before.

Yoonchi.
Hi Irwin,
As you know, I also use the STUDI/O and LAMP 4.7 and I've never seen
these problems.
Try this:
Open a NEW song (you do have an autoload song don't you...?)
Open the song you're having hassles with
Open your environment window and update the whole environment
(options/import environment/update)
Go to the screenset with your track mixer and see if the problem still
exists.

Funny, mine works fine. You must obviously engage a bus before the
send "dial" becomes visible.
It may be a corrupt song (as someone else suggested). Do you have the
same hassles with a brand new song?
Regards - Colin
I should add that I of course created a new Autoload, and I even trashed the
preferences.
Problem stays exactly the same....(ggrrrrrrr)

;)
Yes - It´s the Digi001 on a G4 400 (AGP), MacOS 9.1

Hi,
this may be a silly question, but are you guys sure you haven't got the same
audio track opened twice in the same song? It gets me all the time after
packing folders. If I don't delete the original track, the 'copy' will not
show
up in the track mixer. This is not a bug, obviously, but a 'feature'.
Cheers,
Recky
