anyone w/ this prob? only happens when changing to a 2 window screenset most often to adaptiv mix + arr. what happens is the 2nd window gets partially drawn when system freezes. 4.7.2 os 9.1 g3/466 Jack

Try to change the resolution to Thousand colors for few minutes to see if it's better... Igor

Ha, had the exactly same problem half a year ago. (g4 400, 4.7.2(now), OS 9= .1) I still don´t know what it exactly the problem was, but take a look at all = these ATI-extensions inside your system-folder.(I suppose they are a part of this problem) Turn them off, turn them on and see.... by the way: Even emagicßs hotline couldn´t help me with tha..:( good luck.
