I use both Cubase VST 4.03 & LAMP 4.02. The one thing I really like
about Cubase
is the drum editor.....very
nicely done. Hint ..hint...to Emagic! Other than that, I agree with everyone
else
that Logic is more "elegant".

What everyone else said plus;
Logic pros;
-Hyperdraw
-Midi timing and AMT
-Autobackup
-The amount of commands available for Key Commands
-Right Click is user definable (Cubase always brings up the toolbox =
a pain & slower)
-Intellimouse support
-Autolink with SD, although I haven't used this yet
-Loop properties for seqs
-Virtually every action has an Alt/ Shift/ Control variation
-Greater depth
-Capture recording
-A Manual you can touch, if a little out of date, and the worst index I've
ever seen. Yesterday it pointed me to a chapter after the last chapter!
Cubase pros;
-Muted seqs grey out
-Mute group memories
-Locator memories
-PIII support
-VST 1 & 2 plugins
-Notes light up on piano keyboard when playing master keyboard in Matrix
edit. Helps to see where on the keyboard that sample is
-Can transpose seqs into different keys ( everything from major, minor to
indian, whole tone, egyptian etc) as well as +2, -12 etc
-Matrix editor displays the names of the chords as you play or play back in
real time
-VST plugin synths
-Phrase synth - Algorhythmic composition
-Grid edit (I think it was called) - like a combination of Matrix and Event
List, makes it dead easy to see if you have two notes on top of each other
Logic is way better, but not better at everything yet.
