It seems cheaper and easier to simply use a Mac 7500 CPU (one of the first with PCI card i think) without a monitor, and then hook up the laptop to the 7500 via ethernet. I'm just not sure about the hard disk recording part. I suppose you could run LAM remotely on the 7500 from the PB to record two tracks.
