I don't know any other, except for Paris, which you dissed already, if you
are using a Mac. IMO Paris isn't bad, but don't expect the same features as
for Digi; you pay a lot less too for Paris.
On the PC side you have some pretty good alternatives:
Samplitude( some people swear by it), SAWPlus, TripleDat and the upcoming,
ehm, Nuendo.
Although I wouldn't expect the last one to not give you headaches, :-).
