I have (as some may recall) had continuously troubled with instability of my
LAWG 4.0 with my ISIS.
Now it seems to me that after I reduced hardware acceleration of the audio
in Windows Control panel, my setup is much more stable. For anyone with
similar problems, try the following:
Control panel -> Multimedia -> (playback ISIS 1/2) -> Advanced
properties ->
Performance ->
reduce hardware acceleration to one notch below maximum.
Do the same for other playback channels.
Repeat for all record channels.
I still have problems (audio refuses to play sometimes until I change
driver; sometimes there is an error message, sometimes not) but no more
crashes.
I am using the MME driver. The ASIO driver is still baffling me. LADS fails
to find it, but LAWG sees it. And usually it does not work.
BTW, on the emagic site, ISIS is listed as a compatible device. Would it be
possible to get configuration details?
Regards
Hannu
