Hi, Every time I record something on Logic, some clicks and pops
apear on the recording. I have a Delta 66 soundcard, running on a
Pentium II 350hz with 160MB RAM. I dont think the computer is the
problem, because It is running very few things (no antivirus or
other "backrunning" program), and on Logic in the Audio Driver
configuration I am using the ASIO driver with a max. of 8 tracks of
audio. So I think maybe the Delta drivers are the problem, I am using
the 4.1.22.31 drivers. Anyone now if that drivers have problems?

Have you checked all the basic Windows stuff(no hardware accel, low
video reso, no conflicting IRQ's)? Do you have a Matrox video card?
Have you tried putting the soundcard in a different PCI slot? Latest
drivers for everything? BIOS updated on computer?
Do you have any external gear that is using word clock? I suspect no.
If so, though, this could be a source of clicks and pops.
Are they actually recorded, or just heard during recording?
Somewhere in the past I read something about deslecting "DMA" on
the
IDE drives, though I can't vouch for what this does, because I run
all SCSI.
2 cents...
Play on the Upbeat!
I believe there are many causes of this according to the various posts in
this list. However, I've just discovered the cause on my machine was that
Windows had not recognised my hard disk as a DMA device and so was not
transferring the data to disk fast enough.
You can check this by going to start>settings>control panel>system
Click on Device Manager tab. Double click on Disk Drives. Double click on
the hard disk icon
Click on Settings tab and see if the DMA box is checked. It will need to be
in order to get fast data transfer to the disk. After checking this box go
OK and OK again and you will be asked to do a reboot. After the reboot go
back and see if the check is still there. I believe if it is unchecked again
or if it was greyed out then your hard disk doesn't support DMA.
Hope this helps, it certainly did for me.

The British magazines Sound On Sound and Future Music have had
several articles each on exactly how to track down these audio
dropouts. Check their online web articles.
