I launched Logic and checked the memory it grabbed from the "about this computer" window. I added large EXS instruments one at a time and checked the about this computer window between each instanciation and witnessed Logic grabbing more memory each time. Great; this is the way it is supposed to work. Then I loaded a big LM-4 kit and nothing changed. Which proves that something in the way the LM-4 is coded doesn't allow it to grab from the computer's available memory. It would seem then that it is necessary to literally increase the memory to the Logic app first just to accomodate the LM-4. Further investigation seems to indicate that the LM-4 seems to load in all the sounds from all the kits in the selected bank (Wizoo XXL). I conclude this from the observation that multiple instances of the LM-4 take no time when loading in other drum kits from the same bank. Can any one corroborate this? If this is the case, it seems far from efficient. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift Orchestra / Almat Productions

Just curious whether only Logic native plugins can grab memory. >Further investigation seems to indicate that the LM-4 seems to load in >all the sounds from all the kits in the selected bank (Wizoo XXL).
