I'm no Mac user, but I guess ASIO behaves the same as on a PC, meaning that you can just run one Audio application using the same ASIO driver at once. There are however some cards which offer configurable drivers such as the Sonorus StudI/O where you could simply assign how many channels you'd like to reserve for ASIO or MME stuff. Maybe there even are certain cards that offer multiple ASIO devices, but I'm not too sure about that. >I'd like to run LAM4 & Retro AS-1 through the AW8 card at >the same time, but am unaware of a way of doing this. If not, can I run >LAM4's standard AW8 driver (non ASIO) while running Retro AS-1 hooked to the >AW8 card through ASIO, and expect both outputs to to come through the card? The above should answer your question on this as well. The only solution I could think of is running the AW8 in standard Mac/AV mode (is that the name on a Mac?) in both applications, but even that way I doubt that it would be possible since the AW8 doesn't offer multiple "wave devices" (I know, on a Mac things might be called different, but I guess the behaviour is the same). Having said all that I highly recommend getting another soundcard for every audio application running parallel with Logic, be it wave editors, softsynths, virtual drummachines or whatever and using the AW8 for Logic exclusively.
