Subject: LAM: way to change black cursor to red?
Message #66644
I'd like to be able to change the arrow cursor to red as the black cursor can get lost on a 3200 x 1200 screen. How can I do this on the Mac G4/9.04? Thanks, Les Caudle

How can I do this on the > Mac G4/9.04? Thanks, Les Caudle I asked for solutions to this problem on this list awhile back. It appears as though Logic uses the curser a little different than some other programs and you can't change it to something else very reliably. I think that at this point the best solution is to use the esc key when you lose the curser. A little menu pops up where the curser is and you simply have to hit esc again to exit that menu. You then know where the pointer is.

Good suggestion. Hopefully in next version we can change the color and size of the cursor. I've done this under Windows NT (not for logic), and everyone that sees wants to use the same larger colored cursors - but I'm less familiar with the Mac. I understand you to say that even if I were to find the cursor using ResEdit or something, that this would not be sufficient - Logic doesn't use the normal system cursors? Thoughts from the mind of lescaudle@..., 03-06-2001: >I understand you to say that even if I were to find the cursor using >ResEdit or something, that this would not be sufficient - Logic >doesn't use the normal system cursors? Thanks, Les Caudle Open LA in ResEdit, and you'll see a CURS resource, containing a bunch of cursors. The default 'arrow' is not one of them unfortunately... tata, HJ -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra ( h@... )
