I'm trying to decide between Logic and Cubase and it just may come
down to who has the most user-friendly software protection. Can
anyone tell me what Logic needs besides a dongle? Is there a floppy
you have to have as well? If your HD crashes, do you have to call
Emagic and get some number every time you reinstall it? If the
company goes down, are you screwed?
I hate copy protection with a passion and it has kept me from going
legit for awhile, but now my finances are better and I might buy
Logic or Cubase if the copy protection isn't that much of a hassle.
Does anybody have both and compare the differences in protection?
Thanks.

I've recently installed LAMP 4.6.1 after using Vision for years and have
found logic's dongle copy protection quite hassle free. The dongle is the
only thing that's necessary (no floppy required). Don't know about copy
protection with Cubase.
