Yikes! Markus, please don't tell me that after all this agony (I bought
4.0 just before the USB dongle became available, had problems with the
iMate, etc., before doing the exchange and entering USB dongle Nirvana),
you guys are going to lose the dongle and go to a system like you use for
Sounddiver. My USB dongle works perfectly. The last thing I want is
another CD I've got to keep around for reauthorization on a regular
basis...Argggh.
What about a system like Waves, which authorizes the hard drive, but then
does not require reinserting anything later?

??? Don't exchange a dongle _NOW_ because of the FUTURE. This is stupid and
unnecessary, e.g. it might be possible, that we change the copy protection
in the future.

This would mean, that we effectively _remove_ our protection. This will
_NEVER_ happen. Logic will _always_ be protected by a dongle. Period!

Waves uses a dongle. I have an ADB one which requires me to use an
iMate. Is there an alternative from Waves? USB Dongle? CD reauthorizaion?

Waves moved to challenge-response with 3.0. No hardware dongle anymore.
