Hi Graham, I have a JV1080 with LAWG, but I think the process should be the same. If I understand you correctly, you have some MIDI tracks recorded using particular sounds/effects, etc in the JV1080 and you want to do a sysex dump to Logic so that when you play it back it sets the JV1080 up the way it was. To achieve this you'll need to do the following: 1. Make sure there is a MIDI cable going from the MIDI OUT of JV1080 to the MIDI IN port in your computer. 2. Create a new instrument in the Environment, call it Sysex and set it's channel to ALL. Assign its output port to your MIDI port. 3. In Arrange, create a new track for the Sysex instrument you just created in the Environment 4. In the JV1080, click the Utility button and navigate to Bulk Dump, then Temp: Performance 5. Hit record in Logic, wait for the count-in, then hit Enter on the JV1080. 6. Logic should now be recording the sysex dump from the JV1080. 7. When done, make sure all your MIDI tracks come AFTER the sysex object you've just recorded. Play the song from the start and Logic should send back all the sysex to the JV1080, then play your MIDI tracks as normal, with all the correct settings in the JV1080. Once you've done this a couple of times, it's dead easy! Hope this works for you....
