To stay "on topic" use the cables found in the environment page! More seriously, cable voodoo is a big deal and one of the greatest marketing hoaxes ever, unless you really can see the emperor's new clothes (or hear his 32 kHz harmonics). BUT If you're using molded plastic cables, you will hear a big improvement by moving up to a industry preferred cable (Mogami, Canare, Gotham etc.) - molded plugs do not have the shielding extending over the connection inside the plug like a Neutrik, Alcatel or Switchcraft plug - molded plugs use stranded shield which can become twisted to one side and leave a small section of signal wire unshielded. Higher end cables have a twisted braid and/or a double shield with a sheath of conductive plastic. - do not use regular audio cables for speaker or digital connections. There are specific cables for these applications. - wall warts are the biggest source of noise in a home/project studio. Make sure that you don't have coils of cables piled on the wall warts. I hope this info is helpful. Andy
