Maybe you are aware of the numeral new kinds of notation, like
proportionaland symbolic notationtechnics that is used in modern music. All
these technics offer a musical language that goes far beyond the average
computer-inspired composer ( as far as I have seen till now afcourse ). This
offers a complete different view on the musical language, most sequencers
are even not capable to use these possibilities. Every system we use in
Logic for example is based on rather oldfashioned musicsystems. (nothing
wrong with thatby the way).So I think it is a mistake to see all
computer-related composing as the ultimate development in music. There is
more going on!
