You should get the ADAT Bridge instead of the 888. Not only
is it cheaper, but you'd get 16 channels of I/O from the ADAT
Bridge. Plus, cabling to the ADAT card that you'd need for
the 02r (instead of AES card) is also cheaper and easier.

High quality expensive mic preamps are definitely better than
what's in the 02r. I'd recommend at least one high quality mic
preamp.

Again, even if you did get the d8b, you shoudl get an ADAT card,
not an AES card. The d8b is certainly a better and more upgradable
mixer.... if money is no object then go for it. But if it is (when is
money
NOT and object?), consider why you *need* the d8b over the 02r.
Could money best be spent elsewhere, like on high quality mic
preamps or a really nice chair????
