Hi Peter, Glyph makes a device called a high nine terminator
that terminates the ultra wide's extra pins and allows the
connection of slower SCSI devices without (according to
them) slowing down the bus speed. It's about $60 if I
remember correctly. I use a CDR which isn't usually on but
it is convenient not to have to repatch. I have yet to run a
test on my transfer rates to verify the terminators
efficiency.
