The software is so unbelievably similar...
It's a marketing venture to hit the home user market,and the multimedia
market.
Either Emagic is behind this directly or they sold the rights to their
software, which I highly doubt is the case. I'm sure they are behind it in
one way or another.

Hi,
AFAIK, the Magix software has two parts, the "MIDI studio" (which
is
effectively a cut-down Logic) and the "Audio studio", effectively
a
cut-down SEK'D Samplitude. The whole thing sells to the consumer market, at
a consumer price tag; I imagine the MIDI side is pretty similar to the
"Micro Logic Fun" which has been given away for free on some
magazines lately.

kinda cool and pretty smart marketing techniques.
downsized versions of two of my favorites.
The consumer world should be very happy... Some of the power of Samplitudes
audio engine with Some of Logics midi capabilities. They'll be nibbling on
the hook before you know it :-)
