I have an 8600, which I upgraded with an XLR8 CarrierZIF/400MHz, currently running very stable at 432 Mhz. If you can get a deal on an older, upgradable pci power mac, a G3 (or even G4) upgrade is a possibility that you should definitely consider. It makes everything old seem new again :) THE source for all the upgrade info you could want is: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ Mike P. ---------- >From: laurianto@... >To: logic-users@onelist.com >Subject: Re: [LUG] Q: Mac 8500 + LAM >Date: Mon, Oct 11, 1999, 1:38 AM > > From: laurianto@... > > > > is1@... wrote: > >> Hope not to be very much OT. >> Is there any experience working with a mac 8500 (150MHz) and LAMP? >> I can get one for around $750, thinking to upgrade as soon as possible.
