Subject: When will Logic release direct i/o hardware?
Message #24776
Hello Emagic developers and analysts, I have but one question. When will the bug fix to allow true release of audio hardware in background be available in Logic. I have invested many dollars in Peak, etc. and would like to use them as external sample editors. I cannot easily, because according to Emagic, the Direct I/O audio hardware does not get released Logic, only the audio from the CPU. This obviously is of minimal importance especially when it renders external sample editor key commands useless as the external sample editor in question will ALWAYS come back with could not acquire hardware. Please fix this. I understand that several updates to Logic have become available in the recent months. None have them have addressed this bug. This is all I ask. I have learned a lot and can pretty much ;) take care of myself in Logic. The necessity to stop and unclick the hardware driver checkbox is a tedious break in the flow of mastering, sample editing and especially sound design. It would be a great boon in the current progress of several tracks that have me going back and forth. Thanks, Aaron
