dear all many thanks to Howard Wooten (hwooten@... for some invaluable inforamtion that even Voyetra can't seem to give me We have tried your fixes. Very good news! 1. I haven't downloaded the new drivers for Pinnacle yet but we will today. 2. Logic audio Device Setup. We had to {rescan all} to get the Audio setup to allow access to all four check boxes, but we have now set bitlevel to 16bits granulation to 194/6 ms at 44.1khz full duplex etc., we have disabled every other virtual device except MME TBS Pro Series Wave etc., 3. RegEdit F3 PAD_delta. I think we went a bit too far the first time because following the reboot the card coulfd not be initialised. Fortunately we have Norton installed and were able to re construct the registry to its preious state. There are some additional folders in that part of the registry that I think we should have left alone. 4. We rebooted a second time and now everything seems to be working fine. We have tried throwing very complex audio/MIDI lso files at it and (touch wood) everything is working very well. So far no fatal errors or blue srceens. So far we have not neede to alter any settings with MTC or other synchronization issues. MIDI Audio Sync has never been a problem and MIDI timing is excellent. I lecture in music technology at a local 6th form college part-time so my enquiring mind has two questions, Is this something you have discovered through trial and error? if not What is the theory behind the alterations? Many many thanks for these fixes, next time your in UK I'll buy you a beer, or if you can get to Florida in September I'm coming over for a short stay. Thanks once again barry whitfield (dockalnds.studio@... or barry'whitfield@... ----- Original Message ----- From: Howard Wooten <hwooten@...> To: Barry Whitfield <docklands.studio@...> Sent: Friday, March 31, 2000 6:28 PM Subject: Re: LAWG
