3 times faster at what? Running a video?
It will never be able to run 3 times as many plugins in Logic!

No!

Are you saying that an Amiga can run say Quake's graphics better than a
P100? Would an Amiga be able to run Logic4? I very much doubt it.

It doesn't matter how fast your CPU or OS, you'll still run out of steam
eventually

(£4/500 to BeOS) but

Firstly your logic's all wrong. Buying another copy of Logic to run on BeOS
is totally different from upgrading Logic to a new version!
Secondly, Logic running on a multi processor computer doesn't require a
''totally new sofware programmed especially for to use with this
multiprocessor system''. It's already here. Logic 4.x was written to run
on W2000, that's why it contains 100% 32bit code. It's only the dongle that
isn't compatible.
Thirdly, Logic subreleases are always free. If W2000 support is in the next
subrelease I'm sure it will be free, as G4 AltiVec support for Macs was a
free update.
I would like to see Logic Be, but at the moment this is looking ever less
likely. I was just pointing out the flaws in your argument that a NEVER
updated BeOS 5 was a good idea for a Logic platform.
Cheers
