Message #15602
I'm starting on a second album with a friend of mine, and I want to try and do it all in Logic and back up the tracks on the ADATs. Here is the deal. I have a "small" budget of $1700. I'm running an updated (from 120MHZ to 200MHZ) PPC 7600 with three narrowSCSI 2 gigs, 96MEGS RAM. Obviously this is not enough muscle for many tracks and plug ins. So: 1. do I invest in an ADAPTEC accelerator card , a Couple of 9 gig Cheetas, and some RAM. 2. Buy a Fast BW G3 and slam some extra RAM and possibly a bigger IDE (internal) drive. 3. Buy a slower/medium speed G4 and add RAM. Any ideas??? Ciao Gio Differently Thinking com.soundscapestudios@gio
