Hi there...
I think I have also something to say to the beos letteres in here!!
Here is my statement:
I have worked with beos 4 the last time, I used it and the SPEED and POWER
of this OS was (AUDIO+VIDEO) the fastest, I had ever seen!!!!! We tested it
on one machine (P2 300 (the fastest Proc this time) )
We had found out, that the p2300 was runnunig 3 (!) times faster on Be as on
the windows plattform!
This is the reason why i cant wait for to get (?) logic on be.........AND I
am not in your oppinion that if you have to pay a lot of money for the
crossgrade it would be better to invest the money in a new proc.
this is because WINDOWS is (and you can ask anybody you want!) the badest OS
for our veryvery fast computers...
Let´s take an old amiga (eg a500). This was a machine runs only with 7
mhz,
but the graphics for example were running sooo much faster than the graphic
on a p100 (and this machine is about 14 times faster than the good old
a500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - And why ? Was the processor faster ? - No! The
only thing is: Microsoft OS vs Amiga OS!!!!! thats it...
now lets see:
i an using a p3 600 with 256 ram, 40 gb u2w hd - lap 411 and some plugins /
es1 - And what is the messge I got?
-"CPU TOO SLOW OR DISK..." (How can this be?) And of course, i am
not new to
the pc (I am working as a administrator/hardware rep and so on, and i know
what i am talking about!!!!!)
here is my advance:
My system will run under beOS/Logic as FAST as a futere system with
windows(P4-1200 768MB 200MHz fsb, 80 gb u3w and so on...) and the best
thing is : i do not have to reboot my computer after all new hardware or one
of the 1000 bugs or bluescreens....) You see, it depends not on a faster
proc, its the os that makes your hardware getting so slow!! (If you
don´t
believe - ask the mac user here in the list! On a definetely slower mac
computer logic runs much more faster (for example NO latency at all!) than
on our winpc.....
And to Windows 2000 : This is really great i tesed it, and it was as slow as
if i had make a DOWNgrade to
a p2-400
Thats why it would be great if we could work with logic on be!!
greetings to everyone out there using logic on win and waiting for getting
logic on be.
P.S.: sorry for my bad english and don´t be angry about me. i am only
very
angry about this fucking windows system, that runs bad as hell!!
tobi
