Hi, Nick.
I use JL cooper dataSYNC2 without any problem.
It cost only 20,000 Japanese yen (about $200) in '95. Maybe it is cheaper
now.
(Though I am using Mac, Studio4 and ADAT ver.4)
You can put JL cooper dataSYNC2 between MOTU midi express and ADAT LX20.
No need another slot or SMPTE track .
