If this is the case what happening is that before you record any audio Logic creates a file to hold the recording audio file(s). The large of the created file can be as big as your hard disk space. The effect of this is that if your audio recorded file is shorter that the pre-created recording file-space, then , the audio file will be very fragmented. To avoid the fragmentation turn On Maximum Recording Time, and assign a number of your desired recording time. After or before this, the faster solution for the problem is to run Norton Speed Disk or other similar utility. According to the manual these programs can go deeply into the analysis of fragmentation than Analyze Fragmentation feature in Logic itself. Hope this helps!!
