Subject: LUG - searching archives
Message #15484
Hello all! This is to let you all know I've sent a request for open and/or better searchable message archives on the OneList server. Bart >>Hello OneList Satff people! >>First let me tell you this IS a great service, which offered me a huge lot of info already. However, being an active member of a VERY prolific list - Logic Users, 2400 members! - I would suggest strongly to open up the archives from the 25pc digests into open archives, or else improve the search function as to finding individual messages on a subject. As it is now, it's nearly impossible to find any coherent thread, since it may be spread over 5 to 500 digest folders. MUCH too wide-spread, WAY too elaborate, FAR too time-consuming to be of any professional use. So every once in a while people come up with the same [intelligent!] questions, because there simply is no way of getting through the bulk. I'm asking you this on behalf of 2400 Logic-User-List members, and maybe in parallel to requests by the list owner, mr. Joeri Vankeirsbilck. Any constructive reaction is highly appreciated!
