But you're right, it's almost never down to the apps, it's the system itself and its drivers! NT's kernel is anything but crash-proof, and Microsoft's Service Pack scheme doesn't help that issue much, on the contrary, it makes it more haywire... There's too many ways for the system drivers to screw up, as of now. Let's see to Win2K when it's here. Of course, NT is much more solid than Win9x, but it's hardly fault-tolerant.
