But this hardware has given so many of us creative and in many cases lucrative careers. I was getting 4 tracks out of an Audio Media 11 on a FX Mac 6 years ago with SVP and NO "CPU to slow" errors. I was getting 8 tracks with my Q950 and Session 8 for 3 years day in day out....with Logic. No errors no crashes. Now I get 64 tracks from a 9600/350 PT Mix+......day in day out......no crashes no problems. You act like something is wrong and one day a magic computer/OS will come and teach us the error of our ways. With respect, I don't think you speak from real world experience. It's a natural thing to speak defencively about the equipment you have invested in but it says a lot about your choice. Especially the bit about speaking up for the equipment you have bought. Ask anyone who has bought a Dycan cleaner and they will tell you they are brilliant, (except me) but only because they paid so much for the damn thing and can't face admitting it they wasted their money!
