The above was my original post. You must have me confused with someone
else. To clarify, here are my options:
Upgrade to gold 4.0: $299
Buy gold 4.0 new: $299
Upgrading saves me zero dollars. I don't know if I have to send in my old
dongle if I upgrade, but if I do, the upgrade becomes a worse deal than
buying it from scratch again. For all intents and purposes, emagic might
as well not offer upgrades at all to users who have versions that are too
"frigging old."
