Am I missing something here? Hasn't L8 addressed a lot of the 'wish
list' items of LUGers?
I guess the bottom line is, we're all free agents and can hop aboard
a different DAW if there's one out there that you think is better
designed and better supported.

Regarding my personal wishlist: Not much at all. Perhaps not even any. I
never wished Logic should be made "easier" (even if I do benefit
from that
as well).
It seems to be quite more stable right now, but I actually do expect a
certain stability anyways.
For me, right now it's like "yeah, nice efficiency and stability",
but
there's still quite some things left. And quite some of them would even be
things that have been there in previous versions.

That's not as easy as it reads like. For instance, quite some of my projects
depends on Logic's internal plugins. And even loading, say, an EXS patch
into, say, Kontakt (which I already own) will result in quite some different
sound.
In addition, there's one or the other thing that I simply can't live
without, such as the extended parameter box. Even after all these years of
computer sequencing, it's still absolutely unmatched. Oh, and the velocity
tool in the Matrix (err, sorry, piano roll by now). I use both these things
so often that missing them is permanently driving me mad when I switch to,
say, Cubase (which I own as well).

My substitute is mouse on the info line (with mouse option/drag+- set)
and scrolling note to note with the L/R arrow key. Not quite as elegant
but pretty efficient for most things.
As I remember, there's an Emagic (now Apple) copyright on the velocity
tool.
