Subject: click track and audio don't match up
Message #236871
I've just started working with Logic 8 and I have a problem with my audio and my click track matching up. While I'm recording, everything seems fine but when I go back and listen to what I've done what I recorded doesn't match up remotely with the click track. I need help. thanks ezra

I always record the click track on a mic, compare and by trial and error adjust the delay (- or +) to get it right. Whenever switching to a new interface or software. -- Pete Thomas www.petethomas.co.uk Logic Tutorials, Hints, Tips, free Icons, Environments Sample Aid (EXS Instruments for charity)

It might also be an issue of having a latency inducing plugin on your master buss. I've found that bypassing the offending plug isn't enough - you have to un-insert it completely. Subject: [LUG] Need A Waterfall

Hi all, I'm looking for an AU waterfall display. I'm very judicious about plug-ins and don't want to load up (or buy another) grandiose mastering plug-in just to see the way the frequencies play out from time to time. I do use a few mastering plug-ins when mastering (mostly Ozone although I find it a bit ham-fisted) but for EQ, compression and personal productivity, there's nothing like a waterfall to get you in the ballpark. There used to be a nice high-resolution waterfall app (not plug-in) available for OS 9 but that was long ago in a galaxy far, far away Luke... Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Randy

The best i know of is foo; http://www.mhlabs.com/metric_halo/products/foo/ Not a plugin, but can be routed quite easily. For a plugin you could try RND's inspector XL which offers several different types of scope, not as complete as foo, but cheaper and it's a plugin. http://www.rogernicholsdigital.com/inspectorXL.html Unfortunately i don't know of any cheap/free decent scopes, all the free/shareware ones i tried were crap...
