Hi,
I recently ventured out in trying to finally setup my M-Audio Keystation Pro
88 to be used
within Logic 7.2.3 on my MacBook Pro 2.4ghz with 2gb Ram. (After spending
several days
installing software and re-authorizing all the plug-ins)
I somehow screwed everything up and now when I play the M-Audio keyboard- it
re-
arranges all the Logic windows into a totally new screen look- just from
pressing a G note
or B or whatever, rather than play sounds like the midi keyboard used to do.
Something
tells me there is a simple solution that I must uncheck within Logic- yet
another thing tells
me that I must re-install Logic so that the Keystation Pro 88 will be seen
correctly again in
Logic and accept it. I fear re-installing will give me an authorization and
complete plug-in
reinstall nightmare, so I dare not try to reinstall Logic.
I messed around with the Enigma software that is suposed to store
Keystation's controller
patches etc. but haven't had time to dig into that yet. I did a few things
in Logic- like
"Start Logic Setup Assistent" - which I think is where
everything may have gotten messed
up. I also did a default setting boot on the Keystation Pro 88 by holding
down the +-
buttons while turning the keyboard on. So I think somewhere in the last 2
steps is where
this problem of Logic moving all the windows around the screen while playing
the
Keystation has occured.
The Keystation Pro 88 still works flawlessly within Reason and also is able
to play
instruments within ProTools- which is where I ended up writing and
programmng a great
new song last night. Before last night, I was able to play and record in
Logic 7.2.3- but
not now. I was having problems with abnormal key velocitys in the
Keystation and tried to
fix them any way I could- even from within Logic, which was a mistake
because the
Keyboard is actually flawed, from what I read about similar velocity
problems others have
had with this keyboard.
Any clues appreciated.

OK- figured it out from another post. You have to remove the Logic Control
within the
running Logic app from:
LogicPro/Preferences/Control Surface/Setup
Click on the Logic Control Icon and then hit: Edit/Delete.
The only problem now is I do not see the Logic Control as one of the
possible controllers
available. I don't have the Logic Control, so I do not need it. I was
using it to try an emulate
using the M-Audio Keystation through the ProControl configuration, based on
a post I found
on a Logic msg board. I think I am better off learning this Enigma library
software to assign
controllers etc to Logic via my Keystation.
