Hi all,
I'm working in Logic Express 7.1.0, on an iMac G5, running Mac OS X
version 10.3.9.
The default number of audio tracks is 4. I've added a 5th via
"create track" but it's really a Siamese twin of the 4th track,
that
is, they are controlled by a single set of controls: slider, inserts,
etc. Is there a way to make the new track independent of the old one?
Unrelatedly, how do I put a pitch bend onto a Midi event?
Thanks very much,
Erich

Click and hold on the right hand side of the track header (where the track
icon is) to get
the output popdown list and select another audio track.
You can also "create track with next instrument" from the Track
submenu.
If that doesn't work, you will have to go into the Environment window. I
don't have
Express, but in Pro you select Audio Object from the New menu, go to Channel
in the
Parameter box on the left and assign an available Track to the object. This
then becomes
available in the Arrange window as described above.
