It sounds like you have a corrupted session. That does happen, unfortunately - it's not a new Logic 8 feature. For literally years I was unable to select controllers properly in the hyperedit screen and figured it simply didn't work. Then I saw a friend doing it on his machine. It turned out to be a corrupted screenset in my autoload. Rebuilding that single screenset solved the problem - it was the only thing that was corrupted. I've run a whole lot of maintenance stuff on my machine. I can open Logic without any projects open, but when I open a project, any project, it just crashes. How do you rebuild a corrupted screenset, and could it apply to all my projects, when they have been working in the last few days? thanks, Ian >>>> Ian Henderson http://www.ianhenderson.com http://www.myspace.com/ianhendersonlive OSX 10.4.11/Quad G5/4.5GB/MH ULN-2

They happen fairly frequently (especially if I pull up different projects) and I've yet to isolate the cause. I'm also running Leopard though so I'm thinking it could be that. Between Logic 8, An Apogee Ensemble and a Mackie Control, there are still MANY things to be worked out (even with the new drivers). Let me know if you solve your issue and I'll do the same.
