Subject: problems with low-latency recording with leopard
Message #235480
I'm running Logic 8, Mac Pro, software monitoring. I've got a Rosetta 800 hooked up to a Symphony card in a Mac Pro. Under Tiger, everything worked like a charm, down to a latency setting of "32" -- the lowest possible. Now that i've installed Leopard, I'm getting problems on record -- the audio recording will just stop -- i.e. when recording Logic will just halt, and the recorded audio will sometimes come up "blank". The solution seems to be to increase the buffer size up to 128. So essentially lower latency recording seems to be damaged in Leopard when using the Rosetta 800 / Symphony combination on a Mac Pro.
