Subject: So do Logic and Leopard "just get along?"
Message #235411
"Here's to the brave ones...." Hi folks. I've searched the forum and there seems to be just a smattering of complaints re: Leopard and Logic8 compatibility. Is that because there are not many "show stoppers" or because not many have dared the upgrade? Have read elsewhere that a few issues exist with Live, some of the NI stuff isn't quite there yet but have not seen a lot posted here on major issues. Any thoughts on how simpatico Logic and Leopard are yet? Thanks. GN

I can't claim to have any great experience, having set up leopard on my dual quad only a fewe days ago, but there haven't been any disasters, on the contrary its been quite uneventful. Logic 8 is running as smoothly as on Tiger, and I'm pleasantly surprised to note that just about all of the AUs I have tried have been running well, and in fact, all of them passed validation. The only exception I came across was the already widely reported issue with rewire not working, thus preventing Melodyne and Logic working together. kind regards Mark Cahill

They said that they are not yet "Leopard" ready. When I took Ivory out of the AU (in that checkbox), everything ran fine. So, I can report that Ivory isn't working (at least for me.) Drum Core asked for my authorization number again (which really freaks me out.) Is anyone else having problems with these two? Thanks for your posts, BTW, Mark. fm

Just checking. I assume the Melodyne plug-in is not included in this problem? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- I can't claim to have any great experience, having set up leopard on my dual quad only a few days ago, but there haven't been any disasters, on the contrary its been quite uneventful. Since we have already reached the points to get the largest discount I wonder if we have to wait until December to get the download. I couldn't resist buying Nautilus and Rocket Science as well. As a European it's times like this where I can really appreciate the low dollar.

Do you know a good starting point to make it run smoothly? Like DFD settings, latency setting and system settings. I use it within L8 on a Macbook Pro 2.3ghz 3GB ram OS X.4.10 and for now I use the "purge sample pool" function a lot. Reading the manual, doesn't give much info apart from "demerden sie sich" and find out yourself:( Salutations, Ab

You won't have to wait until December - the Group Buy ends on November 14th, the original plan was that we would then start accepting payments, and in any case, all payments must be received by the end of November. Now that we have reached 40% so soon (although we do in fairness need to check for duplicate and non - LUG addresses) we will endeavour to bring forward the time we can start sending invoices, accepting payments and of course making the software available. However, it is now the weekend, so I would ask everyone to please wait a few days, once I have some more information I will post it. It's very pleasing that we got to the final dicount so quickly, I think it says an awful lot for the innovative software on offer that we achieved this in record time. Well done and sincere thanks to everyone who participated so far! Here are the final prices: Speakerphone: $ 297.00 (list $ 495.00) Nautilus Bundle: $ 179.40 (list $ 299.00 Rocket science Bundle: $ 149.40 (list $249.00) kind regards Mark Cahill

It's always fun to see these keep going and I have seen several people in various forums wishing Altiverb had been included. It can't hurt to at lease ask Audioease and see what they say... Matthew

Have you tried to remove MenuMeters CPU icon with Command-drag or to delete MenuMeters preferences (user and system)? Ciao, Marco
