Subject: [LUG] Dual Faders in Arrange
Message #234168
I have noticed a consistently inconsistent (often but not always) behaviour with the faders on the bottom left of the arrange page. Sometimes when I move my mouse to the main fader, the additional fader will move down a db or 2. I thought I was going crazy for a while but it persists in occurring. Any one else seen this? Cheers Clive Young

Subject: [LUG] Ducker Leaks?
Message #234177
This is a reply to #234168.
I am getting some anomalous behavior with Logic's Ducker plugin (in 7.2.3) -- Basically, the sidechain signal is leaking through the plugin! I have several softsynths going through Bus 1, and the Ducker is on the bus. The sidechain is a voiceover on Track 1. There are no funny routing issues. I proved by process of elimination that it is definitely the Ducker that is mixing sidechain signal into Bus 1's audio. If I substitute the Compressor with the same sidechain, this does not occur. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Skip

Hi Clive, I have not noticed that exact behavior, but I have had many instances of the track (left) fader jumping (always up) to someplace other than where it was when I clicked on it to drag it. I believe this only happens on tracks that contain external MIDI instruments. Kamm

Ive noticed a behavior in 7 where say I have my two guitar tracks grouped together, if I turn the group assignment off of one to adjust the volume separately, and I grab the one thats still grouped, Ive noticed sometimes the ungrouped fader still moves with it.. But if I grab the ungrouped one and move it, its fine.. Doesnt happen all the time but Ive noticed it enough.. --- Chris www.monotrematamusic.com www.descentrecords.com

Put Ducker on a bus and see if the sidechain audio is coming through the bus? Driving me crazy here.... thanks, Skip
