No changes have done to the AU Standard in OSX for years, might get new features in 10.5 though. What we are seeing regarding multi out instruments is that Logic actually implements the AU standard more correctly, since it needs to differentiate between surround capable plugs and Œold fashion¹ multis. This information have been present in the AU Standard, but since Logic never bothered some developers never bothered to set these information. On to Your problems. From what I¹ve seen reported Œon the net¹, the Kontakt player is having problem with Logic 8, and since it¹s based on the full Kontakt 2 it might also have some problems but it seems to have handled the new host better. Isn¹t RA based on Kontakt player too? Don¹t put Your hope up that a Logic 8.1 will solve things like this, since Logic 8 probably is already a better AU host than what L7 was regarding following standards. You should probably hope that the plugin developers fix the plugins that are having problems. Cheers, Janne
