If that is your gripe don't worry, you can do a save as and have different song versions inside the project folder accessing the same files. I do it all the time. Several times today in fact. I do have a complaint about the save functionality but it is different.

If you still have a G4 or G5 that's ok, but once you get an intel mac, L7 won't export audio to your selection in the arrange for a quick little qt video. This is fixed in L8 for intels macs (or at least my 2xquad core). That was the deal breaker that made me dive in to L8 while it was still point zero. Even though I read Mac for Dummies about ten years ago that you should never get an x.0 version of anything! -Eric
