Hey There Chris, At this point in time (i.e. being right on the heels of Mac OS X v10.5), I¹m imagining the move to update to 7.2 is probably not worth it. The conventional wisdom is that a new version of Logic is being withheld until OS 10.5 ships, as there are probably features that require a full 64-bit implementation of the OS. I find it peculiar that Apple would leave no upgrade path in place for a pro app, unless we were well within shooting distance of a major update. Unfortunately, as the move to 7.2 brings Logic to the Intel-Mac world in a native kind of way, update stragglers who moved to Intel-based hardware are put in a tough spot. Being OS 10.5 got pushed to October, they should have extended the Logic 7.2 upgrade option to September. ... shame on Apple. So, hang loose until October (if you can) and remount your update campaign then. Plan your budget for an OS update as well as Logic Pro 7.5 (or whatever they decide to call it). Oh, if you are somehow able to get the 7.2 update disk, make sure to download the most recent updates once it¹s installed: 7.2 -> 7.2.1 -> 7.2.3. Regards, Jazzman321 - When in doubt, crank up the jazz - ---
