That delay is only when the transport is stopped, and there's a
setting for the offset (I forget where it is in Logic). The picture
should be in sync with the audio when it's playing.
This is with all FireWire devices, by the way, not just the Canopus.
Also, if I remember right it's 18 frames on my rig, not 24.
