If you also need to use ProTools, then you need to install ProTools LE 7.1.1 or higher. Don't install the > stand-alone > CoreAudio driver. You also need to plug the Mbox into the MacBook's USB port closest to the display screen, according to Digidesign. I had no luck at all with the other USB port. I have the first model of the MacBook, this condition might not exist for later models.
