I used to use a Tascam US-224 as an interface but have long sense ditched
it. However, every time that I launch Logic I get a quick error message
saying that the MIDI port assigned to US-224 no longer exists. I can't seem
to figure out how to get rid of that message even after resetting and even
reinstalling Logic from scratch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

A - the US224 control surface is probably still installed. Logic >>
Preferences >> Control Surfaces >> Setup window. Delete it. If
it was,
and that doesn't work, also delete the control surfaces prefs file at
~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.cs
B - Still happening? Look for any instruments in the environment using
the US224 as their MIDI output. You'll need to do this in every old
song you load, and your autoload/templates.

Thanks John! Solution A fixed it. I didn't realize that set-up was there
within the program.
Cheers.
