Thinking of adding one soon. Any issues yet? OR ... do I wait for the
1st revision ? hmmmm.
Thanks in advance.

Love my 2nd gen MBP 2.16 Core 2 duo. It's fast (about 20 to 30%
faster than the G5 Dual 1.8), has 3 gig ram (the latest can have 4
gig), and work great with Logic Pro 7.2.3.
There were some issues with the first one (high pitched noise to name
one thing) but so far, no problems at all.
The one thing I wish is did have were more USB ports. These days,
with dongles for allot of plug-ins and apps, 2 usb ports isn't
enough, and if you add a USB keyboard that also needs power, the fact
is that to use this computer as a portable, self powered system,
isn't really feasible.
But to use it as a desk top replacement, it's great. I have a magma
chassis for PCI expansion so the lack of slots isn't an issue. (I
have to buy the express 34 card for it, so I haven't actually tested
this). I can use dual monitors no problem as well.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with mine.

You know ... after a month or so ... the hardware revision or update.
I am not to sure what the correct term should be but I hope I am

Scientists have discovered the world's smallest increment in time:
that time between which Apple releases a new version of a Mac and when
somebody on this list asks whether or not it is stable enough for
Logic.
For myself, I picked up a brand new one yesterday and I plan to begin
bringing it to life... ...sometime this weekend. This stuff takes
time, people.

Does anybody know if the new MacPros being released in
a few months are compatible with Logic yet?

Yes, but don't buy them, because in 15 years a Logic will drop support
for those models. ;o)

I think I know who you're talking about. I spell my
name with a negative sign but the other one spells
her name with a hyphen.
Does she ever post here?
