Love my 2nd gen MBP 2.16 Core 2 duo. It's fast (about 20 to 30% faster than the G5 Dual 1.8), has 3 gig ram (the latest can have 4 gig), and work great with Logic Pro 7.2.3. There were some issues with the first one (high pitched noise to name one thing) but so far, no problems at all. The one thing I wish is did have were more USB ports. These days, with dongles for allot of plug-ins and apps, 2 usb ports isn't enough, and if you add a USB keyboard that also needs power, the fact is that to use this computer as a portable, self powered system, isn't really feasible. But to use it as a desk top replacement, it's great. I have a magma chassis for PCI expansion so the lack of slots isn't an issue. (I have to buy the express 34 card for it, so I haven't actually tested this). I can use dual monitors no problem as well. Overall, I'm pretty happy with mine. Yes, but don't buy them, because in 15 years a Logic will drop support for those models. ;o) Maurits,

I spell my name with a negative sign but the other one spells her name with a hyphen.
